Tackling California’s Water Crisis: 2nd Place at H2O Hackathon 2022

In 2022, my team, Unhandled Exception, had the incredible opportunity to participate in the H2O Hackathon in California, where we won 2nd place. This hackathon brought together innovators who were passionate about addressing the water crisis and drought challenges impacting our communities.

Our project was a utility app designed to help individuals and households track and reduce their water footprint in everyday activities and meals. Beyond its core features, the app fostered a sense of community by enabling users to interact with friends and other households, creating a collaborative effort toward water conservation.

It was an unforgettable experience to work with a team of talented peers to create a tool that could inspire real change. Winning second place validated our vision and the potential of technology to make a meaningful impact on environmental issues.

I’m excited to continue exploring ways to combine innovation, community, and sustainability to solve pressing challenges. Stay tuned for more updates and projects! 🌱💧
